SEARSPORT – Russell Lawrence Perkins, 47, of Searsport passed away Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2006, at a local healthcare facility. He was born Feb. 14, 1958, in Belfast, the son of Gerald and Rose Marie (Palmer) Perkins both deceased. He grew up in Maine, then lived for seven years in Connecticut before moving back to Maine in 1993. Russell served his country in the U.S. Navy. For the past eight years he had been working for Sergeant and Sergeant Construction Company. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cribbage, bar-b-que’s and working with his hands. He also loved his dog, “Brownie.” He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Cynthia (Hoff) Perkins of Searsport; his brothers and sisters, Gerry Brady and husband, Jack, Donna Lomax and husband, Bill, Cindy Patterson, Cathy Arnold and husband, Ty and Mark Perkins. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, at the Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave, Belfast. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, at the First Baptist Church, High Street, Belfast, with the Rev. Ken Parker, officiating.
