JOHN L. MURRAY OLD TOWN – John L. Murray, 68, died May 7, 2004, at a Bangor hospital, after a long illness. He was born June 28, 1935, in Brewer, the son of Percy and Olga (Lawson) Murray. He served in the U.S. Army and worked at Wilcox Dental Lab in Wethersfield, Conn., Husson College in Bangor, and had fun working at the Double J. Diner in Hudson, (Snowmobile Club). John is survived by his five children, Rick Pacifici and his wife, Wanda, of Glenburn, Gregory Murray of Brewer, Derek Murray and his wife, Claudia, of Australia, Suzanne Collins of Old Town, and Kimberly Andrews of Old Town; 11 grandchildren, Nicole, Kerry, Rosie, Gregory, Dawn, Gary, Eric, Thomas, Johnny, Scotty and Christina; and five great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Joseph, Norman, James, Ralph, Thomas, Pauline Kearney, Mary Avery and Beverly Comeau; and many nieces, nephews, and very close friends, Jim McHale, Bob Paulette and Dick Lawson. He was predeceased by brothers, Paul, Charlie, Scotty, Robert; and his children’s mother, Christine (Brasslett) Harris, whom he thought the world of. He loved his family very much and lived for his grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 4 p.m. Saturday, May 15, 2004, at Hermon Baptist Church, Route 2, Hermon Village, with Pastor Garnett Chute officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in John’s memory to St. Joseph Hospital, 360 Broadway, Bangor. Cremation arrangements by Cremation Basics, Inc., Bangor.
