BREWER – John S. Shaw, 50, passed away peacefully Dec. 10, 2006, at a Bangor hospital, after a brief battle with aggressive cancer. He was born Jan. 18, 1956, in Middleboro, Mass., the son of Lucy (Stone) and Roy E. Shaw. John was the youngest of seven children. He graduated from Middleboro High School, Class of 1974. He was a truck driver employed by Pottles Transportation for the past eight years. John loved to spend his summers as a crew chief for Shaw Racing with his daughters and grandchildren as go-kart drivers. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Vicki; two daughters, Ann and Debbie and her husband, Keith Emery and their three children, Jeffrey, James and Ashleigh; three sisters, Mary Lou Bell, Linda McMullen and Dorothy Martin; three brothers, James E., Gerald E. and Steven W. Shaw; 12 nieces and nephews. Services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, at Brookings-Smith, Clark-Piper Chapel, 55 South Main St., Brewer, with the Rev. Robert T. Carlson, Chaplain of Penobscot County Sheriff’s Department, officiating. Relatives and friends are welcome to call noon Saturday until time of service.
