FRANKLIN – John W. Ulichny, 60, died March 14, 2005, at an Ellsworth hospital. He was born Jan. 4, 1945, in Newark, N.J., the son of John M. and Bessie (Evans) Ulichny. John was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He attended Newark State Teachers College, N.J. and the University of Hartford, Conn. He enjoyed playing golf and the piano. He is survived by his father, John M. Ulichny of Roselle, N.J.; sons, Michaeljon Ulichny and wife, Rhonda of Ellsworth, Nicholas Heard of Franklin; daughter, Elizabeth Heard of Portland; two grandsons, Ryan Ulichny and Seth Heard. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2005, at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth.
