BANGOR – John “Yo-Yo” C. McNally, 84, died Sept. 1, 2007, at his home. He was born June 18, 1923, in East Millinocket, the son of Milo and Ida (Boss) McNally. John served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a longtime member of the Brewer Eagles Club. John worked for Eastern Fine Paper until his retirement in 1987. He is survived by his son, Richard McNally of Bangor; longtime companion, Mary Sickles of Bangor and her family; one brother and his wife, Lawrence Sickles and Sharon of Bangor; one sister and her husband, Joan and Mike McLaughlin of Fort Fairfield; his brother-in-law, Eugene McLaughlin of Presque Isle; several grandchildren, great- grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Julia (Plourde) McNally; his son, Michael McNally; his daughter, Rose-marie Duprey; and a number of brothers and sisters. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, at St. John’s Catholic Church, Bangor. Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor.
