MILLINOCKET – Joseph Melvin Raymond, 69, born Aug. 10, 1935, died Nov. 24, 2004, at a local hospital. A former resident of Massachusetts, he worked at Educators Publishing Service in Cambridge, until his retirement. He also worked for many years at Star Market. Early this year he took up residence at Crest View Apartments to be near his family. He was the youngest son of Peter and Regina (Plourde) Raymond. He is survived by his brother, Philip and his wife, Dorothy Raymond; their children, Paula and her husband, Jerry Hughes, Philip and his wife, Tina Raymond; sister, Maxine and her husband, Kenton Morrow; their children, Cindy and her husband, Steve Hodge, Suzanne and her husband, Roland Sirois; sister, Beatrice Charette; and her children, Theresa and her husband, Ronald Dubois, James and his wife, Pauline Charette, and Rhonda Charette. He also leaves many cherished great-nieces; great-nephews; and cousins; a very special family friend; Delia Cummings and; some very dear friends at EPS. Joseph was predeceased by his parents; an infant brother; his brother-in-law, Donald Charette; and a nephew, Ronald “Butch” Charette. As per his request, there will be no visiting hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004, at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church.
