BANGOR – Joyce Henderson Magaw, 76, wife of the late Russell Magaw for 49 years, died March 9, 2005, at her home. She was born July 11, 1928, in Fort Fairfield, the daughter of the late Fred and Bernice Henderson. Joyce was a 1946 graduate of Easton High School, and the Eastern Maine General Hospital School of Nursing in 1951. She worked as a registered nurse at several area hospitals and retired from the Bangor Mental Health Institute. Joyce is remembered fondly by co-workers at B.M.H.I., where she enjoyed many years as the night nursing supervisor. She leaves two sons, Robert Magaw of Bangor, and Timothy Magaw and his wife, Colleen, of Hampden; daughter, Lisa Ugro and her husband, Charles, of Rockland; three special grandchildren, Jacob Magaw of Bangor, Benjamin Magaw of Hampden, and Myka Ugro of Rockland; sisters, Janice Porter and her husband, Hollis, of Presque Isle, and Tomi Rosenbaum and her husband, Larry, of Albany, N.Y.; and brother, David Henderson of Easton.
