STONINGTON – Judith F. Haskell, 59, wife of the late Robert E. Haskell, went home to be with the Lord on Dec. 6. 2003, after a long illness. She was born on Jan. 3, 1944, in Stonington, the daughter of the late Shirley L. and Barbara R. (Hutchinson) Nevells. Judy was a member of the Stonington Nazarene Church. She is survived by a daughter, Barbette and her husband, Harold LeClair, and their children, Danielle and Zachery of Orrington; a son, Robert and his wife, Kimberly, and their children, Charles and Alex of Overland Park, Kan.; three sisters and their spouses, Deanna and her husband, Alan Eaton Sr., of Orland, Nola and her husband, Gerald Donovan, of Deer Isle, Deborah and her husband, Charles Peabody, of Stonington; a brother, Howard Nevells and his wife, Janet, of Stonington; an aunt, Letha and her husband, Henry Bray; an uncle, Howard Hutchinson and his wife, Betty, all of Stonington; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Judy was predeceased by her mother and father; two sisters, Mildred Beckman and Ethelyn (Tina) Stinson; and a brother, Thomas Nevells. Judy was a great friend to many and was loved by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends, a dear friend, Roger Nevells, who was always there to give her a hand with anything she needed done; a special niece, Eva Weed; her nephews, Tony Stinson and his girlfriend, Katie Wheaton and children, and Aaron Stinson and his wife, Gail, and their children. She will also be remembered by her good friends, Gerry Turner and Harriet Oliver, who spent Tuesdays and Thursdays with her going to physical therapy. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
