BAILEYVILLE – Julie Mary Bass, 94, died Monday, Jan. 8, 2007, at a Lewiston nursing home. Julie was born April 25, 1912, in St. Louis DeKent, New Brunswick, daughter of the late Lucien and Adele (Bassieau) Babineau. She was a communicant of St. James the Greater R.C. Church, Baileyville and a longtime member of the Ladies Sodality of the church. Julie was predeceased by her husband, Frederick Bass; a son, Charles Bass; and a daughter, Rose Anne Bass. Surviving are two sons, Vincent Bass of Auburn and Norman Bass of Omaha, Neb.; two daughters, Catherine Frost of Clinton, Mass., and Florine Macavoy of Port Charlotte, Fla.; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Friends may call 9:30-10:30 a.m. Friday at Mays Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday at St. James the Greater R.C.
