PALMYRA – Kathryn V. (Flannery) Brewer, 81, died April 30, 2005, at a Hartland health care facility, following a long illness. She was born April 24, 1924, in Fort Fairfield, the daughter of Cicel and Beulah (Dixon) Flannery. She was educated in schools of Fort Fairfield and Pittsfield. She was married to Bert A. Brewer who died in May 1975. Kathryn and Bert owned and operated the Brewer Family Farm in Palmyra for many years. She also worked at Edwards Co. in Pittsfield as an assembler and tester for several years retiring August 1993. She was a member of the Sebasticook Club of Pittsfield and a member of the Peoples United Methodist Church in Newport. She is survived by three daughters, Ruth E. Brewer of Pittsfield, Ada and her husband, Dale O’Reilly, of Palmyra, Bettyann and her husband, Conway Andrews, of Palmyra; two brothers, Arnold Flannery of Hampden, Conn., Gregory Flannery of Lawrence, Ohio; one grandson and his wife, Jason and Holly O’Reilly of Palmyra; three great-grandchildren, Samantha, Seth, and Noelle; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call from noon until service time at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2005, at the Brown Funeral Home, 34 High St., Newport.
