LAWRENCE J. SLATER HOULTON – Lawrence J. Slater, 73, died Oct. 3, 2003, at a local hospital. He was born April 13, 1930, at Hodgdon, the son of Albert and Hazel (Loyd) Slater. Lawrence was self-employed most of his life and was owner and operator of Slater Enterprises. He is survived by four sons, Lawrence Jr. of Connecticut, Michael and Neil, both of California, and Tarry Gilman of Danforth; two daughters, Linda of Texas, and Tamarlenea Lowe of Danforth; one brother, Leonard of Florida; one sister, Marie Odomski of Florida; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Darlene; a brother, Floyd; and a sister, Pearl Stopka. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Monday, at the Evergreen Cemetery, with Father Eddie Moren officiating. A service of Dunn Funeral Home.
