HENRY RIOUX ST. PETERSBURG Fla. and EAGLE LAKE – Henry Rioux, 73, went to be with his lord Sept. 30, 2003. He was born in New Canada (Daigle) Nov. 21, 1929. Henry served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War as a medic, honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant. He was a machinist at Stanley Tool in New Britain, Conn. Henry left Connecticut to start a farm and raise a family in northern Maine, where he farmed for more than 20 years. He returned to Connecticut where he was a plant engineer for Chapman Crushing Sand and Gravel of Melrose, Conn. for more than 20 years. Henry retired to a summer home in Eagle Lake and a winter home in St. Petersburg, Fla. He leaves a wife, Patricia Rioux (St. John) of 52 years; two brothers, Reginald of Fort Kent and Lewis of Madawaska; three sons, Henry, William and Maynard; and a daughter, Debra Barrepski; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren, all living in Connecticut; many cousins, nieces and nephews. Henry loved to hunt, fish and discuss politics and the weather. He was a member of the American Legion and VFW. There will be a military service at 10 a.m. Oct. 11, 2003, at the St. Joseph’s Church in Soldier Pond and a memorial service 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 18 at the Holy Family Church on Simon Road in Enfield, Conn.
