DANFORTH and FORT KENT Leland Frederick Roy, 64, died Aug. 11, 2008, at a local health care facility. He was born June 7, 1944, in Fort Kent, the son of Albert and Victorian (Dionne) Roy. Leland attended school in the Fort Kent area. He was enlisted in the U.S. Army for two years and was a member of the National Guard. He worked in the Fort Kent area on various construction and labor jobs. Leland is survived by his children, Donald Roy of Newington, Conn., Allen Roy of Greenville, N.H., and Elizabeth Carver of Auburn; numerous friends in the St. Francis, Portage Lake and Fort Kent areas; the staff and his friends at Danforth Residential Center, Baskhegan Valley Community Supports and the community. He was predeceased by his parents and several siblings. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at Calvary Full Gospel Assembly Church, Danforth, with the Rev. Robert Root officiating.
