SEARSPORT – Lewis Nathan Boynton, 97, died May 11, 2004, at a Rockland nursing facility. He was born Aug. 10, 1906, in Palermo, the son of David L. and Harriett (Morrison) Boynton. Lewis lived most of his life in Montville and worked as a Millwright and also for the telephone company. He was an avid reader, enjoyed crossword puzzles, woodworking, and making clocks. He was predeceased by his wife, Estelle G. (Brown) Boynton; his son, Steven Boynton. Lewis is survived by three children, Lois Grfroer of Elizabethtown, Ky., Marilyn Boynton of Searsport, and Bruce Boynton of Pompano, Fla.; two grandsons, Chris Boynton of Freedom, and David Boynton of Leeds, Va.; several nieces and nephews including, Rick Littlefield of Prospect, Ky., and Debra Studli of Louisville, Ky.; grandniece, Kelli Littlefield of Clearwater, Fla. Services will be private. Arrangements by Young Funeral Home, 31 West Main St., Searsport.
