HARRINGTON – Lindsay L. Strout, 22, died unexpectedly July 3, 2004, in Harrington. She was born Nov. 1, 1981, in Leominster, Mass., the daughter of Bruce and Patricia (Crossley) Portrie. Lindsay attended Narraguagus High School, graduating in 2000. She worked as a lab technician at Down East Community Hospital, as well as being a sales agent for Evergreen Realty in Milbridge. Lindsay was also the lobster pound keeper at HIS Cove in Harrington. She was a member of the Unionville Church of God. She enjoyed sports, being outdoors, fishing, hunting, and four wheeling. Lindsay is survived by her husband, Scott Strout; her two children, Anna, 20 months, and Evan, 1 month, all of Harrington, whom she adored and meant the world to her; parents, Bruce and Patricia Portrie of Harrington; brother, Derek Portrie and wife, Mary, of Las Vegas, Nev.; sister, Alicia McNally and husband, James, of Patten; paternal grandmother, Virginia Portrie of Gardner, Mass.; mother and father-in-law, Mark and Cindy Strout of Harrington; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jeff and April Strout and Steve and Maria Strout, all of Harrington; special aunts and uncles, Harold and Linda Crossley of California, Bob and Cathey Portrie of Florida, and Rene and Lee Gagne of Massachusetts; special family, Grammy and Grampy Strout, Grampa Dick, and Aunt Weese; special nieces and nephews, Austin, Abby, John, Emma, Hunter, and Ashley; several cousins and many friends. She was predeceased by Grammy Crossley; Grampa Portrie; and an uncle, Brian Portrie. Lindsay will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2004, at Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home in Milbridge with Pastor Fairbrother and Pastor Crossley presiding. Burial will immediately follow at the Bay View Cemetery in Harrington.
