MOULTONBORO, N.H. – Lois A. Cameron, 73, of Lee Road, died April 6, 2005, in Moultonboro, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident, which also claimed the life of her daughter, Sandra (Cameron) Oakley of Lawrenceville, Ga. Lois was born Aug. 16, 1931, in Clifton, the daughter of Roland and Vida (Martin) Penney. She grew up in Brewer and graduated from Brewer High School, Class of 1949. She also was a graduate of Providence Bible Institute in Providence, R.I. Being a pastor’s wife, she and her husband lived in many different towns throughout New England. She had been a resident of Moultonboro since October of 2002. Lois was a member of the Millbury Baptist Church in Mill-bury, Mass., where she served as a deacon. She was also a member of the United Methodist Church of Moultonboro where she was involved with the women’s fellowship and was an usher. She was an avid quilter and enjoyed attending quilting classes. She was predeceased by two brothers, Roland and James Penney. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Rev. H. Raeburn Cameron of Moultonboro; three sons, Dana Cameron of Leesburg, Va., Dale Cameron of Moultonboro, John Cameron of Belfast; 15 grandchildren, three great-grand-children; two sisters, Marion Garland and Gloria Ramp, both of Bangor; many nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held Monday, April 11, in the Moultonboro United Methodist Church. The Rev. Hope Luckie officiated. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. The Mayhew Funeral Home in Meredith, N.H. was in charge of the arrangements.
