MACHIAS – Loraine A. (Spitcurl) Davis Betts, died unexpectedly Nov. 12, 2005, doing what she loved best, dancing and celebrating her birthday with family and friends. She was born Nov. 16, 1941, in Machias, the daughter of Norman and Agnes (Morse) Davis. Loraine was a very special lady and had many friends, young and old, too many to mention. She was a very outgoing lady and loved everyone. In her past years she was employed by Pete’s Dream, Grahms Restaurant, The Sandwich Shop and volunteered at the Marshall Rehab Center with her daughter, Terry. She is survived by one special sister, Theresa Rogers, who spent every minute together and they were known as the “Bobsie Twins”; her children, Carmen Richardson, Terry Holland and husband, Robert and Curt Betts and wife, April; her loving grandchildren, Adam, Keegan, Joshua, Jeremy, Jonathan, Justin, Curt Jr., Kyler and Cassie. She will be sadly missed by her Aunt Greta and Uncle Willard Carver and all her nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, and brother, Gifford. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, at the Community of Christ Church, North Street, Machias. Contributions in Loraine’s memory may be made to Terry Holland, P.O.
