MEDFORD, Ore. – Leona C. (Frost) Hill, 90, died Nov. 8, 2005, at an Adult Foster Care facility in Medford, Ore. She was born June 5, 1915 in Dexter, a daughter of Charles and Hazel (Foss) Frost. Leona married Albert Walter Snow Oct. 11, 1933 and they had a son, Donald Howard Snow. After Albert’s death, Leona married Guy Chester Russell in November 1943 and they had two children, Ruth and Stanley. Leona and Guy divorced in 1963 and Leona married Dick Hill of Pittsfield, in 1966. They lived a very happy life in Pittsfield until Dick passed away in 1978. Leona then moved to Sunshine Village in Corinna, eventually moving to Eagle Point, Ore. in 1988 to be near her son, Don. Leona graduated from Dexter High School, then worked in the woolen mills in Corinna, Lewiston and East Wilton. She also worked in the office at Franklin County Memorial Hospital in Farmington, in the dining room at the Lancy House in Pittsfield and finally as a corrections officer at the State of Maine Correctional Institute in Skowhegan where she retired. She is survived by her children, Donald Snow and his wife, Lucille, of Medford, Ore., Ruth Fisher and her husband, Harry, of Bellflower, Calif. and Stanley Russell and his wife, Elaine, of Stockton Springs, formerly of Dexter. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Martin Fisher, of Calif., Scott Russell, of Winterport and Stephanie (Russell) Koscielny, of Cambridge; a sister-in-law, Gladys Frost; stepdaughter, Nathalie Brooks of Corinna; stepdaughter, Ardis Bowman and her husband, Robert; stepson, Richard Hill and his wife, Ruby and many dear friends. Besides her parents, Leona was predeceased by a sister, and her husband, Mabel and Kenneth Hurley and brother, Carl Frost. At her request, there will be no funeral service or memorial service.
