PRESQUE ISLE – Loretta A. Michaud, 67, died June 5, 2006, after a long struggle with diabetes, at her home. She was born Jan. 8, 1939, in Mapleton, the daughter of Fred and Exilda (Billier) Michaud. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Loretta was a self taught artist who painted many paintings over the span of her life. She also taught the art of painting to several people. Surviving her is a sister, Norma Dawn of Bangor; her beloved niece, Angelique Grado of The Woodlands, Texas; and five nephews. Relatives and friends may call 10 a.m. Thursday until the time of the service at St. Mary’s Church, Presque Isle. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with the Rev. Raymond Morency officiating. Interment will be in the St. Mary’s North Main Street Cemetery.
