ORLAND – Lorrie Smith, 49, died peacefully, Feb. 20, 2005, at her home with her dog on her lap, surrounded by family and friends after a three-year battle with cancer. She was very thankful to her friends Chris Merchant, Sheila Larue, and Pat Horton for all of the time and comfort they gave her. The family would also like to thank all of the folks on Back Ridge Road, Orland; Bucksport High School Staff; and employees of the Ellsworth Wal-Mart for all of the help and support they have given throughout this difficult time. Lorrie is survived by her husband, Roy; daughter, Samantha; her sister, Debbie, of Florida; and brother, Mike, of Arizona. An informal memorial and reception will be held 10 a.m. March 5, 2005, in the fellowship room of the Franklin Street United Methodist Church, 71 Franklin St., Bucksport.
