ETNA – Louis R. Cushman Jr., 52, passed away at his residence with his family Friday, Feb. 10, 2006. He was born Jan. 30, 1954, in Stafford Springs, Conn., the son of Louis R. Cushman Sr. and Rose A. (Busse) Cushman. He later met and married his wife Virginia in 1972. He worked in shipping and receiving for Brewer Auto Components. He enjoyed gardening, liked to have a good time with family and friends. He loved building things out of scrap lumber and doing craft projects. He always looked to caring for others rather than putting himself first. He is survived by his wife, Virginia; two daughters, Carol Urquhart and husband, Jason, of Plymouth, Christina Burnett and husband, Russell, of Manchester, Conn.; two sons, Douglas Cushman and wife, Tricia, of East Hartford, Conn., Robert Cushman and wife, Candice, of Colshester, Conn.; seven grandchildren, two step-grandchildren; two brothers, Michael Cushman and Joseph Cushman both of Mansfield, Conn.; three sisters, Janice Weeks of Colorado, Debbie Gobin and husband, Peter, of Willimantic, Conn., Donna Bragg of Bangor, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Louis R. Cushman Sr. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, at the New Life Apostolic Church, Bennoch Road, Old Town.
