EAST MILLINOCKET – Lula Goddard Osnoe, 86, daughter of Kenneth and Cora (Brown) Goddard, died Friday, Nov. 18, 2005, in Millinocket. She was born Dec. 14, 1918, in East Millinocket. Mrs. Osnoe graduated as valedictorian of her class at Schenck High School, Class of 1936; she was a member of the Pythian Sisters and the Wonder Grange of Medway where she served as lecturer and secretary. She served as secretary of Northern Penobscot Pamona, was a member and Past Worthy Matron of Onawa Chapter No. 130, O.E.S., was the Organizing Regent of Katahdin Valley Chapter, National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a member of the Eastern Area Task Force on Aging, and was one of the organizers and past president of the Medway Senior Citizens. Lula was an avid genealogist and a master craftsman in rug hooking. She was preceded in death by her husband, Merton E. Osnoe. She is survived by her children, a son, Robert M. Osnoe of Mendon, Vt.; two daughters, Edna and her husband, Robert Foore, of Nashua, N.H., Judy and her husband, David Bruce Fernald, of East Millinocket. She has five grandsons, Robert and Cynthia Foore Jr. of Glen Mills, Pa., Andrew and Dawn York of Medway, Mark and Erica Fernald of Alexandria, Va., Jason and Jennifer Chasse-Fernald of Warwick, N.Y. and Robert M. Osnoe of Succasunna, N.J.; one granddaughter, Della and Eric Husebo of Ashburn, Va.; four great-grandsons, Drew, Alex, Robert, and Benjamin; five great-granddaughters, Megan, Kendall, Kirsten, Aaron, and Amelia; a special cousin, Priscilla Andrews of Woodland; longtime friend and caregiver, Molly York, several nieces and nephews, and many special friends who gave her comfort with calls. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 21, at R.L. Bouchard Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket, where officers and members of Onawa Chapter, O.E.S., will conduct a memorial service at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, at the funeral home, with Pastor Andrew MacLeod officiating. Burial will be in Millinocket Cemetery. After the funeral services, friends are invited to the home of Judy and Bruce Fernald at 3 Elm St., East Millinocket, for refreshments and fellowship.
