DOVER-FOXCROFT – Minnie E. (Goodell) Lyford, 92, died peacefully at home with her family by her side, Nov. 19, 2005. She was born April 29, 1913, in Willimantic, the daughter of Hugh S. and Laura B. (Hatch) Goodell. She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Walter G. Lyford in 1994. Minnie enjoyed fishing, cooking, puzzles, riding and spending time with friends, family, neighbors and family pets. She had a special love for Boston Terriers. She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Charlene McInnis and her husband, Merle, of Dexter; her sister, Carrie Blood of Dover-Foxcroft; two granddaughters, Lorrie Gustin and Steve Edgerly of Dexter and Stacie Roberts and her husband, Joey, of Dexter; three great-grandchildren, Jennifer Duplisea, Brian Duplisea and Emilee Hartley, all of Dexter; one great-great-grandson, Brayden Flagg of Dexter; and her special friend and neighbor, Dave Lemay of Dover-Foxcroft; many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was also predeceased by her sisters, Hester Ronco and Sfa Judkins. A graveside service will be held in the spring. For those who would like to remember Minnie in a special way, memorial contributions may be made to local animal shelters and organizations, humane societies, or to the charity of choice. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft.
