KENDUSKEAG – Michael A. Ethier, 58, died peacefully, Nov. 20, 2005, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born Feb. 24, 1947, in St. Ours, Quebec, Canada, the son of Joseph and Jeannette (Moge) Ethier. Michael moved to the U.S. in 1951, and attended schools in Connecticut. He was employed for 12 years by Great Northern Paper Comapny, East Millinocket, before becoming a truck driver for Conway Central Express. He was a very caring individual with a keen sense of humor who loved to cook and who loved his pets. He is survived by his former wife, Pam Ethier and their daughter, Shannon Ethier and her boyfriend, Chris Julian, all of Orono; two sons, John Ethier and his wife, Karen, of Orono and Chris Ethier and his wife, Raychell, of Old Town; and their mother, Jackie Ethier of Connecticut; four grandchildren, Mikayla, Nicholas, Christopher Jr. and Michael; one brother, Gerald Ethier and his wife, Vivian, of Westbrook, Conn.; one sister, Cosette Giordano and her husband, Joe, of Clinton, Conn.; several nieces and nephews; a special nephew, Dr. Michael Giordano of Clinton, Conn.; his former father-in-law and mother-in-law, Betty and Hubert Page; former sisters-in-law, Robin Weymouth and her husband, Mark, Dawn McIntyre and her husband, Bob and Jamie Nightingale. He was predeceased by his parents and one brother, Laurent Ethier. Michael will be remembered by many friends, especially Greg and Mary Libby, Kitty Higgins; and by his faithful dog, Keisha. Family and friends may visit 6-8 p.m. Monday at Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor where a funeral service will be held Tuesday morning at a time to be announced in Tuesday’s edition of the Bangor Daily News.
