SURRY – M. Elizabeth Lawpaugh, died May 1, 2005, in New York. She was born in Passaic, N.J., Sept. 3, 1910, the daughter of Peter Bernard and Leatine (Termont) Latome. She moved from her home in Surry five years ago to live with her daughter in New York. She is survived by her sons, Edward of New Jersey, Howard of Florida; daughters, Nancy Ritchie of New Jersey and Elizabeth Lawpaugh of New York; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Howard Edward Lawpaugh in 1987. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Castine Historical Society, P.O.
