MARIE E. BRAGDON EAST CORINTH and PERHAM – Marie E. Bragdon, 84, passed away May 10, 2004, in Bangor. She was born June 5, 1919, in Fort Fairfield, the daughter of Edgar and Velma (Partridge) VanBuskirk. She married Meredith Bragdon Jan. 31, 1942, and they farmed in Perham from 1946 to 1987. They retired and moved to East Corinth 1989. She was a devoted wife and business partner and still found time to be active in town government holding several town offices, including tax collector and treasurer for many years. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, William and Karen Bragdon of Glenburn; a brother, William VanBuskirk and wife, Norma, of Fort Fairfield; two sisters, Clara Porcello and husband, James, of Clermont, Fla., and Tressa Hetherington and husband, Donald, of Fort Fairfield; several nieces and nephews. At Marie’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service after cremation. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Perham. In lieu of flowers, Those who wish may make donations to Alzhymers or charity of one’s choice.
