CLAREMONT, N.H. – Marie Mae Perrigo, 83, formerly of Bridgewater, died Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 9, 2005, at the Haven Health Care, on Route 120, Claremont, where she had been a patient for the past five years. She was born April 2, 1921, in Bridgewater, the daughter of Charles and Maude (Delong) McKeen and had resided in Bridgewater for 79 years. Marie lived a faithful and simple life to the glory of her Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. She was a devoted Christian and was actively involved in the Bridgewater Free Will Baptist Church. She was a Sunday School teacher for more than 40 years and for some of those years she also acted as Sunday School Superintendent. She sang in the church choir and did many soprano solos. She was the wife of the late Robert Linwood Perrigo, whom she married on April 2, 1921. She was also pre-deceased by two brothers and two sisters. The surviving family includes two daughters, Katrina Higdon of Prospect, Conn., and Denise Wilcox of Presque Isle; one son, Pastor Robert Perrigo Jr. of Claremont, N.H.; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; six nieces; and four nephews. There will be no visiting hours. A memorial service will be held later in the spring at the Bridgewater Free Will Baptist Church in Bridgewater. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Bridgewater Free Will Baptist Church, Main Street, Bridgewater, ME, 04735.
