FRANKLIN – Marilyn A. Smith, 77, died March 30, 2003, at a local nursing facility following a short but courageous battle with cancer. She was born Jan. 20, 1926, at Franklin, the daughter of Earl M. and Lillian M. (Carver) Clark. She is survived by one daughter, Debby Lymburger; two grandchildren, Miche and Cody, all of Franklin; one niece, Kim Clark of Maryland; one cousin, Marsha Littlefield of Eastbrook; a very dear friend, Gram Griff of Hancock. She was predeceased by one son, Barry Gray; two brothers, Hollis and Earl Clark Jr.; one half-brother, Carroll (Spike) Kingman. There will be no services per Marilyn’s request. A graveside service will be held later in the spring at the Franklin Cemetery. Donations may be made in her memory to Collier’s Nursing Home, 33 Birch Ave., Ellsworth.
