DEER ISLE – Marilyn Patricia Dunham, 77, passed away Thursday, Feb. 23, 2006, at a Blue Hill hospital. She was born Sept. 12, 1928, in Vinalhaven the daughter of Benjamin and Ethel (Burgess) Martin. On June 19, 1959, she married Erland Dunham of Deer Isle, where they have made their home for the past 46 years. Marilyn’s family and grandchildren meant a great deal to her. She was a member of the Rebekah’s and was also a member of the Galilean Gospel Temple in Stonington. In addition to her husband, Erland of Deer Isle; Marilyn is survived by a daughter, Priscilla Philbrook and her husband, Carl, of Vinalhaven; two grandchildren, Jennifer Philbrook of Windham and Scott Philbrook of Vinalhaven; four brothers, Paul Martin and his wife, Arlene, of Steep Falls, Donald Martin and his wife, Renee, of Waldoboro, Abbott Martin and his wife, Bobbee, and Lewis Martin, all of Vinalhaven; and several sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, three sisters, Dotty, Frances and Hildred; three brothers, Herbert, Albert and Benjamin Martin Jr. Graveside services will be held in the springtime at the Evergreen Cemetery, Sunshine, Deer Isle.
