SURRY – Marion Coughlin Swaim, 67, died peacefully Dec. 3, 2007, at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital, Ellsworth. Marion was born Feb. 29, 1940, in Ellsworth, the daughter of David and Ida Young Coughlin. She attended Ellsworth schools and graduated in 1958 from Ellsworth High School. Marion is survived by her husband, Ollie “Dave” Swaim of Surry; a son, Michael Swaim and his wife, Kim, of Taylorsville, Ga.; one granddaughter, Hannah Swaim of Taylorsville, Ga.; a brother, David Coughlin Jr. and his wife, Jean, of Maple Grove, Pa.; a step-mother Lena Leavitt of Surry ; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents; and a brother, Richard Coughlin. The family is very thankful for the support that Marion received from her dear friends and caregivers. A memorial service will take place 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 14, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Ellsworth. A reception will be held after at the church hall. Spring interment will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Ellsworth.
