LINCOLN – Marjorie Catherine Pedley, 82, passed away March 2, 2007, at her home. She was born Oct. 19, 1924, in Orono, the daughter of George and Mary (Melanson) Deveau. Marge graduated from Orono High School in 1941. She worked at Pat’s Pizza while attending school. After graduation, she worked for the war effort in Massachusetts, then she moved to Portland and worked for the A. & P. Tea Co., where she met her husband, Dick Pedley. They were married Aug 1, 1947, in Portland and lived there until they moved to Lincoln in 1952. She enjoyed fishing, claming, bowling, cards, hunting, camp-ing and life to the fullest. She worked in the public for many years at local grocery stores. She leaves behind her devoted husband of 59 years, Dick Pedley; and five children, Michelle MacDonald and husband, Tyke, of Lee, Peggy Smith of Lincoln, Robin Sabol of Lincoln, Rick Pedley and friend, Linda, of Mims, Fla., and Bill Pedley and wife, Angie, of Hermon; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren; two sisters, Thelma Panetta and Doris Gerrish; three brothers, Gerald Deveau, Roger Deveau and Larry Deveau; a sister-in-law, Ginny Deveau. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Donald; a sister, Margaret; and a sister-in-law, Alice. The family would like to thank friend and neighbor, Carol Marino for all her help and guidance during this time. Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Myles Cyr officiating.
