MADAWASKA – Martin Garon, 88, died Dec. 9, 2003, at a Fort Kent rehabilitation center. He was born Nov. 5, 1915, in Green River, New Brunswick, Canada, the son of Victor and Phelonise (Corbin) Garon. He was a bank manager for Northern National Bank, Casco Northern Bank and Key Bank in Madawaska for a period of 33 years. He is survived by his wife, Gilberte (Ouellette) Garon of Madawaska; one son, Don Garon and his wife, Bernadette, of Madawaska; two daughters, Charlene Garon of Madawaska and Maureen Michaud and her husband, Paul, of Miami, Fla.; three grandchildren, Bridgette Pelletier and her husband, John, of Mason, Ohio, Charles Garon and his wife, Chrissy, of Panama City, Fla., Christian Garon and his wife, Michelle, of Tampa, Fla.; two great-grandchildren, Cameron and Carson Pelletier. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Friends and relatives may call at the Daigle Funeral Home 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until the time of services of Thursday. Interment will be in the parish cemetery in the spring.
