MARY A. CHURCHILL WASHBURN – Mary A. Churchill, 66, died Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2005, at Springbrook Nursing Center in Westbrook, after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was born April 21, 1939, in Washburn, to the late John and Myrtle (Frenette) Churchill. Mary attended Washburn schools and graduated in 1956. She worked for the Maine Department of Human Services for over 25 years retiring in 2003, due to ill health. She was a member of the Lidstone Memorial Methodist Church in Washburn. She is survived by one daughter, Kimberly Libby and her husband, Dana, of South Hiram; two sons, Edward Bourgoine of Fort Fairfield and Kevin Bourgoine of Washburn; four grandchildren, Jennifer Murphy, of North Baldwin, Brent Murphy, of Limington, Justin Bourgoine, of Berwick and Karsten Bourgoine, of Presque Isle; three great-grandchildren, Jasmine, Anthony and Ethan Mason, of North Baldwin; two sisters, Linda Stevens and her husband, Sandy, of Presque Isle and Jean Leighton and her husband, Neal, of Limestone; one brother, John Churchill and his wife, June, of Washburn; and nieces and nephews. At her request, there will be no funeral service. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
