LINCOLN – Mary C. McKenney, 69, wife of the late Edwin L. “Ted” McKenney, died March 18, 2005, at a Bangor hospital. She was born March 6, 1936, in Old Town, the daughter of Oliver T. and Mary Alice (Gray) Lyons. Mary was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of both VFW Post 1605 in Burlington and Post 1438 in Lincoln. She enjoyed helping on Beano, liked to go for rides, and loved helping people. She is survived by six children, Joyce Budge and Bert of Lowell, Percy McKenney and Donna Ireland of Lowell, Louann McKenney and Harry Stamatopoulos of Millinocket, Leslie Murphy and Ronald III of Greenfield, Edwin McKenney Jr. and Allison of Enfield and Peter McKenney and Leah of Greenbush; 18 grandchildren, Bert Jr., Brent, Robert, Ricky, April M., Malcolm, Velvet, Wayne, Michelle, Bruce Jr., Matthew, Krisy, Ronnie, April K., Edwin III, Amanda, Lacey, and Wade; several great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lillian Jipson and Florence Jipson; and a special friend, Linwood Lancaster. She was predeceased by a grandson, Jack. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Alan Porter officiating. Spring interment will be in Lowell Cemetery.
