BANGOR – Mary Ethel (Mackie) Dalton, 101, wife of the late Raymond J. Dalton, died March 19, 2006, at her daughter’s home in Danville, N.H. She was born July 22, 1904, in Bangor, the daughter of John and Nellie (Roberts) Mackie. Mary Ethel was a life long resident of Bangor and Portland. She worked as a secretary for New England Telephone in Bangor and with the staff of the medical records office at Mercy Hospital, Portland. She was also a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Bangor and Holy Cross Church, South Portland. Surviving are one daughter, Jacklyne M. Dalton of Danville, N.H.; and one nephew, John F. Mackie and his wife, Elizabeth, of Orrington. She was predeceased by one sister, Lillian (Mackie) Babcock; and one brother, James R. Mackie. A memorial Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday, May 5, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Bangor, with the Rev. Thomas Lequin, pastor, celebrant. Burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Bangor.
