LINCOLN – Mary Loyola Albert, wife of the late Richard Albert and former businesswoman of Lincoln, died Aug. 20, 2006, in Bangor. She was born Aug. 4, 1923, in Lincoln, the daughter of George E. and Alice (Curran) Currier. She attended Lincoln schools and was a graduate of Mattanawcook Academy and Hansen’s School of Cosmetology in Lewiston. She was a communicant of St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church in Lincoln, The Daughters of Isabella and The Legion of Mary Auxiliary. She was a past member of the Penobscot Democratic Women’s Club, the Cootie Club Pup Tent No. 21 Auxiliary of Old Town and a life member of the VFW Auxiliary. She will be remembered as a people person who enjoyed playing cards, cooking, crafts, music and reading. She is survived by a sister, Dolores Madore of Florida; a daughter, Margaret E. Albert of Nevada; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Alice Ann LaForge; four brothers, Gardner, Linwood, Carlton and Lawrence; three sisters, Patricia, Lucille and Anna Althea. A memorial Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Lincoln. Interment will be at Lincoln Cemetery. Arrangements are with Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln.
