MADAWASKA – Mildred Bouchard, 90, passed away July 16, 2006, surrounded by her loving family at a Frenchville healthcare facility. She was born April 30, 1916, at Soldier Pond, the daughter of the late Fred and Madeline (Theriault) Deprey. She was the loving wife of the late Oneil Bouchard, who died in 1969. During her working career, Mildred worked for the mill in Sanford, in the retail department at Chain Apparel; in the maintenance department for Northern National Bank; and Maine Public. She was also a Rawleigh dealer, a domestic worker and a nursing tech. However, her family always came first and she took great pride in her children and grandchildren. Mildred volunteered for 14 years for RSVP, transporting people to doctors, hospitals, and other needed destinations. She would often sew, knit and do other crafts, which she often gave to her family or donated to people in need. She earned many trophies while bowling in several leagues. Mildred was a communicant of St. Thomas Aquinas Church and often served as a Eucharistic minister. One of her greatest achievements was graduating from high school at age 60 and taking college courses. Mildred is survived by her children, Nancy Black and her friends, Kay and Autumn Hunter, of Hampden, Doran and his wife, Patsy, of Sinclair and Naples, Fla., Sally and Robert Jaques of Harrisville, R.I. and Dathan Bouchard of Portland; 14 grandchildren, Robert, Elizabeth, Kathleen, Douglas, Bernadine, Ellis, Laurie and Christopher, Sharon, Steven, Kevin, Francois, Bique and Danielle; 24 great-grandchildren; one sister, Gladys Deprey of Madawaska; four brothers, Gene Deprey and his wife, Edna, of Madawaska, Milford Deprey of Orange, Conn., Reno Deprey and his wife, Becky, of Anchorage, Alaska and Elmer Deprey and his wife, Irene, of Creston, British Columbia. She was predeceased by two sisters, Bernadine and Ella; and by four brothers, Elude, Euclide, Alyre and Fred Jr. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Madawaska. Friends and relatives may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. Wednesday until time of service at the Daigle Funeral Home. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
