DOVER-FOXCROFT – Muriel S. Lovell, 88, wife of the late Dana D. Lovell, died May 15, 2008, at a Dover-Foxcroft nursing home. She was born Feb. 22, 1920, in Davidson, the daughter of William and Eva (Kinney) Stubbs. She began a lifetime of care giving at a young age, raising her siblings after her mother died. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother to her own family. She worked for many years at C.F. Hathaway Shirt Co., and then at Dexter Shoe Co. Muriel especially enjoyed knitting and quilting. She is survived by two sons, Phillip and his wife, Nancy Lovell, of Dover-Foxcroft, and William and his companion, Diane, of Sebec; a daughter, Joanne Graves and her husband, Doug, of Allentown, Pa.; a brother, Clayton Stubbs of Phoenix; two sisters, Gloria Lutterell of Milo and Leona Newman of Goulds-boro; and four grandchildren, Dana and his wife, Joanne, Sarah, Beth and Merritt. A graveside funeral service will be conducted 10 a.m. Saturday, May 17, in the family lot at Evergreen Cemetery, Milo, with Pastor David Mumford officiating.
