WATERVILLE and WOODSTOCK, N.B. – Myrtle F. Briggs, 104, wife of the late C. Clinton Briggs, died April 26, 2005, at an Old Town healthcare facility. She was born Dec. 23, 1900, in Oakville, N.B., Canada, the daughter of Alfred and Ada (Stuart) Bell. She volunteered for St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Waterville for many years. She is survived by her son, Gerald Briggs and his wife, Elizabeth, of Orrington; two daughters, Dorothy Keach of Edisto Beach, S.C., Joan Paterson of Malden, Mass.; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 29, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. Funeral services will be held 3:30 p.m., Canadian time Saturday, April 30, at St. Mark’s Anglican Church of Canada, Jackson Falls, N.B. with the Rev. Chris Hayes, officiating.
