MACHIASPORT – Neal “Bubba” “Uncle Bub” E. Sprague, 26, passed away unexpectedly, Oct. 18, 2006, at Down East Community Hospital. He was born Aug. 12, 1980, in Machias, the son of Harold Neal Sprague Jr. and Nancy (Wood) Sprague. Neal graduated from Washington Academy. He worked as a landscaper, which he truly enjoyed. He also loved four wheeling and camping with Mike and Brenda Wood, who were like second parents to him. Neal also enjoyed attending Larrabee Baptist Church. He was a lover of life and family and left a positive impression with everyone he met. Neal’s heart was very big and he was always sensitive to others needs. He is survived by his parents, Harold “Neal” and Nancy; siblings, Heather Graham and husband, Wesley, Christy Rolfe and husband, Jonathan, Meghan Sprague and Ryan Sprague; grandmother, Marie Sprague, and grandfather, Nelson Wood; nieces and nephews, Skye and River Graham, Morgan and Hunter Rolfe; aunts and uncles, Helen Walsh and husband, Patrick, Rose Williams and husband, Dan, Cecil Wood and wife, Darlene, Jennifer Wood and Allan Wilcox; special friends, Kara Peterson, Joe Tibbetts, David and Rhonda Craven, Pastor William and Judy Holmes, and “Grammy” Ruth; and many other friends. He was predeceased by his grandfather, Harold Sprague Sr.; great-grandfather, Cecil Quimby; and special grandmother, Carolyn (Quimby) Wood. Visiting hours will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, at Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, Machias. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20, at the Larrabee Baptist Church, Machiasport, officiated by Pastor Bill Holmes.
