MILFORD – Nina K. Cunningham, 84, wife of the late Freeman P. Cunningham Sr., died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2006, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Oct. 26, 1922, in Macwahoc, the daughter of the late Eli and Pearl (Walters) King. Nina and her late husband, Freeman, were very active in all aspects of the First Congregational Church of Milford. She did many banquets for the church and the community. She belonged to the Ladies Aid and held several offices. Nina worked for the Milford School lunch program for 35 plus years. She enjoyed camping with her husband in many areas of Maine, one of which being Abol, Mount Katahdin, where they enjoyed the company of their many friends. They liked going to Arizona to visit their son, Freeman Jr., where they also enjoyed sight seeing. Freeman Sr. won a trip to California and they went as a family and witnessed a taping of a Dolly Pardon show. She is survived and will be sadly missed by her son, Freeman P. Cunningham Jr. of Mesa, Ariz.; brother, James Leo King and his wife, Helen, of Sherman; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Thomas, Raymond and Earl; and two sisters, Ida and Ruby. At her request, there will be no visitation or formal funeral. Private graveside services will be held for the family. Those who wish may send memorial contributions to the First Congregational Church of Milford, P.O. Box 387, Milford, ME 04461.
