CARIBOU – Norman A. Martin, 73, died Nov. 29, 2005, at Bangor, following a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born June 8, 1932, at Hamlin, the son of Peter and Mamie (Ouellette) Martin. Norman was employed with Carroll Durepo Farms for 40 years and later for Guerrette Farms, until his retirement in October 2004. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Norman married Doris (Plourde) Martin on July 16, 1951. Surviving in addition to his wife of Caribou, are three sons, Norman “Billy” Martin and his wife, Carlene, Gerald “Bobby” Martin and Steven Martin, all of Caribou; one daughter, Ella Mae Martin of DeWitt, Iowa; three brothers, Joseph Martin and his wife, Dolores, and Roland Martin both of Caribou and Bernard Martin of South Windsor, Conn.; four sisters, Noreen Derosier and her husband, Louis, of South Windsor, Conn., Jean Gauthier and her husband, Conradm, of Newington, Conn., Cecile Sands and her husband, Duane, and Agatha Wardwell both of Caribou; grandchildren, Scott, Billie Jo, Jennifer, Kristie, Bobby, and Billie Jean Martin, all of Caribou, Brandy Martin of Eagle Lake and Angelica Thomas of Allen, Texas; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Peter. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Friday, at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with Norman’s nephew, Fr. Kevin Martin, officiating in a Mass of Christian Burial. Spring interment will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
