PERHAM – Norris L. Nickerson, 63, died Nov. 5, 2005, at a Caribou health-care facility. He was born Sept. 18, 1942, in Presque Isle, the son of Leigh and Annie (Pooler) Nickerson. He was a graduate of the Washburn High School and served with the U.S. Army during the Korea War. Norris was a self-employed carpenter in the local area for many years. He attended the Washburn Pentecostal Church. He married Barbara (Storrier) Nickerson Feb. 25, 1967. Surviving in addition to his wife of Perham are one son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Tina Nickerson of Presque Isle; three daughters and a son-in-law, Catherine Moeller of Portland, Annie Moeller of Kansas and Glenice and Rich Burk of Florida; one brother, Steve Nickerson of Fort Fairfield; one sister, Glenice Huston of Florida; and five grandchildren. Memorial services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14, at the chapel of the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou, with the Rev. Bruce Blakney, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in the Maine Veterans’ Cemetery, Caribou. Friends who wish to contribute in memory of Norris, may do so through the Maine Veterans’ Home memorial fund. Envelopes may be obtained through the funeral home.
