MADAWASKA – Odette Cyr, 69, died Aug. 19, 2007, at her residence. She was born June 26, 1938, in Baker Brook, New Brunswick, daughter of Alfred and Eva (Laplante) Bouchard. Odette was a parishioner of St. David Church where she served as a Eucharistic minister. She was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne and lived her Cursillo. Odette and her husband participated in a marriage encounter weekend in 1975. Odette was also a member of the Madawaska Square Dancers. She is survived by her husband, Milton Cyr of Madawaska; three sons, Mark Cyr and his wife, Maryanne, Wayne Cyr and his wife, Jean, and Dale Cyr and his wife, Penny, all of Connecticut; nine grandchildren, Christine, David, Joshua, Justin, Janae, Jessica, Paige, Morgan and Taylor Cyr, all of Connecticut; one sister, Muriel Rioux of Durham, N.C.; one sister-in-law, Carlene Dumont of Newington, Conn.; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. David Church. Friends and relatives may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. Wednesday until time of services at Daigle Funeral Home. Interment will be at Veterans’ Cemetery, Caribou.
