SOUTHINGTON, Conn. and CALAIS – Omer Waycott, 81, of Buckland Street, in the Plantsville section of Southington, Conn., formerly of Calais, died unexpectedly Wednesday, March 22, 2006, at Bradley Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Arlene Greenlaw Waycott. Born Nov. 15, 1924, in Calais, he was the son of the late Harold and Ina Goss Waycott. Mr. Waycott retired 25 years ago from American Cyanamid in Wallingford, Conn. In addition to his wife, Arlene of Wallingford, Conn., he is survived by two sons, Bruce Waycott of Wallingford and Gavin Waycott of Southington, Conn.; one daughter, Donna Geary of Uncasville, Conn.; four step-sons, Earl Cox, Terry Cox, William Cox and Donald Shain; one brother and one sister in Maine; and grandchildren, Bruce, Jeremy, Amber, Sarah and Scott; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family in Maine. Plantsville Memorial Funeral Home, 975 South Main St., Plantsville, Conn., is handling the arrangements.
