BANGOR – Patricia Marie (Harris) Clark, 74, died Oct. 6, 2005, at a Bangor nursing home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born Jan. 22, 1931, in Bangor, the daughter of the late Ernest W. Harris and Ainee (Stimpson) Harris Freeman. Patricia was raised by her maternal grandparents Thaddeus and Sadie (Lank) Stimpson. After her grandmother’s death, a very special aunt and uncle, the late Barbara and James Laffey, became Mom and Dad figures in her life. She was educated in Bangor and Brewer schools. Patricia worked as a clerk in local stores and as a security guard for the Maine Bureau of Investigation. The job she enjoyed the most was caring for Good Samaritan infants. Patricia enjoyed being a mom to a daughter and a son, and helped raise her younger brother. She loved any family-oriented activity, including camping, day trips, holiday gatherings and hot summer days around the pool. Patricia was predeceased by her best friend and husband of 57 years, Herbert N. “Bill” Clark, Feb. 17, 2005. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Larry W. and Diane Clark of Somerville; a brother, Ernest Harris of New Britain, Conn. and a brother and sister-in-law, James G. and Julie Harris of Hermon; a sister-in-law, Janeen Oles of Bangor; a grandson, Christopher Swanson of Connecticut; a granddaughter, Heather Henderson of Nevada; four great-grandchildren, Michael, Gabrielle and two special girls who were the loves of her life, Jessica and Michelle Henderson. She wanted Michelle to remember she’ll always be Nana’s Sweetie Pie; a step-granddaughter, Jonica and her husband, Nick Frank, of Somerville; two step-grandsons, Craig and his wife, Heidi Saunders, of Edgecomb; and Wayne Saunders of St. Albans; nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends are invited to visit with the family 5-7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where a funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10, with the Rev.
