PAULINE C. (CLAY) LOWELL BUCKSPORT – Pauline C. (Clay) Lowell, 74, died May 8, 2004, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Feb. 17, 1930, in Lincoln, the daughter of Merle and Vera (Blaney) Clay. She was a member of the Elm St. Congregational Church, Bucksport, for 37 years, enjoyed antiques, winters in Florida for 10 years, and most of all she enjoyed her family. Pauline is survived by her husband of 55 years, Vaughn A. Lowell, of Bucksport; two sons, Daniel C. Lowell and wife, Carol, of Bucksport, and David B. Lowell and wife, Louise, of Searsport; a daughter, Deborah L. Narotsky and husband, Mitchell, of South Burlington, Vt.; nine grandchildren, Jason Lowell, Ryan Lowell, Nicole Carter, Eric Curtis, Arron Curtis, Ben Curtis, Allison Narotsky, Rachel Narotsky and Elise Narotsky; four great-grandchildren, Kristina Carter, Amaya Hughes, Nicholas Curtis and Andrew Curtis; sister, Norma Gregoire and husband, Robert, of Connecticut; brother, Richard Clay and wife, Frances, of Lincoln; brother-in-law, Ernest Lowell and wife, Althea, of Enfield; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents. Visitation for family and friends will be held 2-4 p.m. Monday, May 10, 2004, at the Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, with Pastor Linda A. Smith officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in Pauline’s memory may be made to the Elm St. Congregational Church, P.O. Box 878, Bucksport, ME 04416.
