ROBERTA G. POTTLE CALAIS – Roberta Gertrude Pottle, 79, of Calais, died Saturday, May 8, 2004, at a Calais nursing home. Roberta was born May 20, 1924, in Robbinston, daughter of Noel and Helen (Harvey) Cleland. She worked many years at the local health care facilities. Roberta was predeceased by her husband, Leonard Pottle, in 1977, and her significant companion of many years, Franklin Pottle. Surviving are three sons, Bernard Pottle and his wife, Joanne, of Perry, Brian Pottle of Robbinston and Blaine Pottle and wife, Joni, of Newport News, Va.; a daughter, Brenda Bishop and her husband, Dwight, of Perry; a sister, Beulah Cline of Robbinston; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, at Scott-Wilson Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais, where funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Wednesday, with Pastor Bob Hinton officiating. Burial will follow in Brewer Cemetery in Robbinston.
