PALMYRA and UNITY – Phyllis E. Collins, 76, died Feb. 11, 2005, at a Pittsfield hospital. She was born Dec. 20, 1928, at Saugus, Mass., a daughter of Frederick and Edith (Coates) Pendergrace. She worked for many years as a department store sales clerk. Phyllis is survived by three sons, Russell Cahill of Palmyra, Judson McCarthy of Texas, and Christopher McCarthy of Arizona; 15 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; seven nieces and two nephews. A spring graveside committal service will be held at the family lot, Palmyra Village Cemetery, with the Rev. Ronald Parker officiating.
