PROSPECT HARBOR – Rebecca A. Lowell, 68, died Feb. 15, 2004, after a long courageous battle with cancer. Rebecca was born Aug. 21, 1935, at Steuben, the daughter of Charles and Pauline (Richardson) Robinson Sr. Rebecca worked at Stinson Seafood, she sold Avon for a number of years, and worked at her brother’s business, U.S. Maruki until 1998. She was a member of Eastern Star and Halcyon Temple Lodge No. 56. She was a gardener and loved fishing in fresh water as well as deep-sea fishing. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the camp she and her husband, Bradley Lowell Sr. built on Flander’s Pond. She also enjoyed hunting and usually used her tag during deer season. She traveled with her husband and friends with the Anah Temple Shrine to many places including, Italy, Africa, Hawaii, Rio de Janeiro, South America, Monte Carlo and Europe. The last few years she had taken many road trips to one of her favorite cities, Nashville, Tenn., with her brother, Tommy and his wife, Evelyn. Her last trip was to Florida in January with her son and daughter to see her favorite singer, George Strait. She was an avid beano player but her real love was her family who will deeply miss her. Rebecca is survived by her mother, Pauline; and an aunt, Gladyce Richardson of Steuben; four children and five grandchildren, Pauline and Gary Trader and her children, George and Christopher and his son, Evan, of Merrimack, N.H; Bradley Lowell Jr. of Natick, Mass.; Austin and Debbie Lowell and their children, Joshua and Brittany; Terri and Haven Ross Jr. and their son, Jonathan, all of Prospect Harbor; four brothers and one sister, Addie and her husband, Paul Dyer, Donald and his wife, Louanne Robinson, all of Gouldsboro, Eugene and his wife, Sheila Robinson, Thomas Sr. and his wife, Evelyn Robinson, Paul and his wife, Jane Robinson, all of Steuben; and a very special mother-in-law, Elaine Lowell of Prospect Harbor; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Bradley Lowell Sr.; father, Charles Robinson; and two brothers, Charles Robinson Jr. and Fred Robinson Sr.; and father-in-law, George Lowell Sr.; nieces, Kathy Dyer and Joy Look; and a nephew, Thomas Robinson Jr. The family would like to express their appreciation to the doctors and staff at the Cancer Care of Maine, Maine Coast Memorial Hospital and the Mary Dow Center, Ellsworth, for their dedication and friendship. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, Milbridge. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at the Gouldsboro Community Center, Rt. 186, Pond Road, Gouldsboro, with the Rev Steve Loan officiating.
